Hague, a eurosceptic? Don't make me laugh!

Click on the title and read how according to the BBC, "Mr Hague, a prominent eurosceptic, wrote: "As a Conservative, I want to bring powers back from Europe, as we set out in our election manifesto. But a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU, especially at this time of profound economic uncertainty, is not the answer."

If this is prominent euroscepticism it is worthless. Hague is like a eunuch in the Brussels harem. He has not got the ability to tackle anything there. It is not only hair he lacks.

There are two reasons not to have a referendum. The principled one is that we believe in representative democracy. Yesterday I heard an ignorant lib-dem saying we had a referendum on entry and approved. Historical ignorance or a lie? The referendum was after entrance and about an economic union called the Common Market, not the political EU. No. Lying politicians got us into this without our consent and they cannot be relied upon to get us out. They are men who have emasculated themselves.

The other and real reason not to have one is that the politicians would be told to get out of the EU and start governing in the name of Her Majesty.
