Old Sacramento
The Railroad Museum tells the story of the railway opening up The West. But political correctness rulrs and neither the introductory film nor our excellent guide ever mentined the local opposition to the Iron Horse
My photo is of the first ever engine to cross the continent. It is so well preserved it looks too new to be over 150 years old.
Old Sacramento is a national historic landmark and we enjoyed the restored buildings.
The stste Capitol is magnificent. We looked indide but no Arnie. No doubt he'll be back.
Sutter's Fort is the original Sacramento, the end of the trail for the wagon trains.
