The father of the bride told us they could have married in St Paul's Cathedral but the bride wanted The Old Kirk, Nethy Bridge near their Highland home. It was a windy, wet November day with snow on the Cairgorms.
Official photos were in the family home later so we did not see the family groups specially posed.
Piping them out, an Englishman from Warwick.
Surprise by the mother of the bride. Unbeknown to her husband she hired the local pipe band for our entrance to the dinner.
I think there were upwards of 300 catered for by an Edinburgh firm who put on six courses of nouvelle cuisine and three wines. Before that we had an hour of champagne and canapes. Afterwards I was beyond dancing. I did though enjoy some Talisker, my favorite whisky. Well we were in the land of whisky and by the Spey too.
