1. Jonah : Prophet and Patriot by David Ephraim Hart-Davies

First published in 1925 this is an excellent evangelical exposition of Jonah. After establishing the historicity of the book, the author examines Jonah's reason for disobedience before he expounds the text. He looks at the miracles in the book and at the One grater than Jonah. This is an fine Christ centred short commentary.
