Films seen December 2017

1. Agatha Christie's Crooked House Christina Hendricks (Actor),‎ Gillian Anderson (Actor),‎ Gilles Paquet-Brenner(Director) 

I found this fascinating and well done until the denouement.I will do no spoiler but the final solution to the crimes was too unrealistic. I did love the story. It was well told with a strange family of unattractive characters. Agatha kept you guessing until the end but the end is a damp squib.

2. Captain Phillips  - Tom Hanks (Actor),‎ Catherine Keener (Actor),‎ Paul Greengrass (Director) 

Hanks is brilliant. The story is gripping but too much is in the dark and the subtitles for the  translation from Somali are too small as are the postscript concerning the outcome.
