Diary w/e Jun1st

Sun May 26

Laurens taught adult Sunday School on understanding the Bible's time line. Paul preached from Mat 16. And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test him. Once again no detainees turned up for evening service at Harmondsworth and the door from the adjacent wing was open.

Mon 27

Cut the grass. Quiet bank holiday. Cooler weather.

Tues 28

Daniel and Kathleen Gula visiting from Nigeria came to stay.

Wed 29

The Gulas spoke at church tonight - very moving.

Thu 30th

Took Gulas to new ELT venue, Christ the Saviour Chutch Hall. Chris Roberts excellent as ever on Ps 100. Gulas left for Shepherds Bush.

Fri 31st

Our first IPC funeral in the new building. Paul was excellent burying a man who died at 54 leaving six children. They had come to our children's clubs in the past and Paul visited their father a lot as he died in hospital. Gospel comfort was sympathetically preached.

Sat Jun 1st

Kay's birthday. I gave the the 2019 guide to the BBC proms while our daughters gave plants. Brief Evangelical Library day coming home early for David and family en route from Scotland to home in Canterbury and picking up their two dogs from us. Liverpool win European Cup from Spurs in Madrid. Not a great game.
