Should the U.K. have compulsory voting?
The question was asked on our local community forum http://ealingtoday.co.uk
I answered, I am not in favour as I am a Christian libertarian wanting fewer laws not more. I do not see it stopping those who "vote early and often". Personation would not be stopped. Postal voting has increased it.
My second reason to oppose such a law is it would remove my riposte to whingers.
" Did you vote for them?
No.
Did you vote?
No.
Then shut up until the next time you do vote."
