Reforming the Health Service

If I was Secretary of State for health my first action would be to give the doctors a very simple choice. Work for the N.H.S. or work for yourselves. Letting them do both is not in the patients' interests. As Jesus said, 'No man can serve two masters.' But from its start, governments have stuffed the doctors' mouths with gold.
