Ne'er cast a clout 'til May be out, said my old Grandma. This was taken on Spring Bank Holiday in Richmond Park, shivering in the wind on a church picnic. It would have been on Whit Monday had not Harold Wilson changed and secularised our calendar by adding May Day to our public holidays and moving this later holiday away from the variable date of Pentecost.
