On 7/7/15 26 primary school teachers and government workers were killed at a Kaduna State office by a bomb as they assembled for an identity check.
10/7 Fulani killed 2 Berom boys on their farms.
12/7 3 bombs exploded at an ECWA church in Jos; one exploded in the toilet, a guard found another and threw it over the wall before it exploded and the anti-bomb squad did a controlled explosion on the other. Praise God there was no loss of life.
The same day a suicide bomber killed 4 at a bus park; another targeted the State Security office and a road block where many vehicles were set ablaze at Damagum. 8 soldiers were killed in a village by land mines.
22/7 gunmen attacked a bar in Barakin Ladi in Plateau killing 4.
21/7 the house of the new Army Chief in Maiduguri was burnt down along with other nearby houses. A few days before he had publicly said the army would shortly crush Boko Haram.
22/7 30 people were killed by bomb blasts in 2 bus stations in Gombe.
26/7 Sho village and others nearby were attacked by Fulani gunmen. 13 people were killed there in a similar incident a week ago. Further attacks were made at Gashish/Kurra Falls.
26/7 A woman suicide bomber (locally known as a mad woman of the street) blew herself up killing 14 in the market in Damaturu, Yobe State.
29/7 Fulani herdsmen attacked villagers at Gassol area in Taraba State.
Bombs killed a number of people in the market at Maroua in Northern Cameroon on 22/7. An estimated 30,000 Nigerians are in and around the city. Meskine hospital is nearby.
Let’s pray that the new initiative for coordination between the security forces of Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger will be effective in bringing an end to the Boko Haram horrors. Unfortunately though, this is unlikely to deal with the Fulani attacks.
