Your urgent action is needed to secure an official pardon for Iranian Pastor Nadarkhani by 9 November.

Take action to request a pardon for Pastor Nadarkhani during Eid

It has become traditional to pardon prisoners during Eid Al-Ahda in some parts of the Muslim world, as the festival commemorates the willingness of the patriarch Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. Already during Eid 2011, hundreds of prisoners have been pardoned in Morocco, Egypt and Dubai. We are calling for urgent action during the next two days to secure a pardon for Pastor Nadarkhani during Eid – email the Iranian embassy today.

Pastor Nadarkhani faces execution in Iran after being sentenced to death for apostasy (abandoning Islam). He was arrested in Rasht in 2009 and tried and found guilty a year later. He now awaits a decision on his case from the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, and a formal written verdict.

Thank you so much for your urgent response, it is greatly appreciated.
Every blessing,

Emma
